Ellwood Explorers

Ellwood Explorers is the Ellwood House Museum’s youth event series. Once a month, join us for a free program exploring the sights and sounds of Ellwood Park.

Frame of Mind

“Frame of Mind” is a collaboration between the Ellwood House Museum, K-12 classrooms from across DeKalb County, and local businesses.

The first part of the program will be a juried exhibition of student artwork from the 2023/2024 school year, hosted in the museum’s 1898 Ellwood-Nehring House (Ellcourt).

View the free on-site exhibit by appointment April 16 - May 19, or visit during special exhibit hours:

Thursday, April 18: 5pm-7pm

Saturday, April 27: 10am-12pm

After the exhibit, county businesses will have the opportunity to “rent” the pieces for a one-year period to be displayed in their lobbies, offices, or stores. Artwork will be returned to students at the end of the loan period. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage young artists, display community pride, and support the arts in DeKalb County!
