Group and Private Tours

The Ellwood House Museum welcomes you to visit this National Historic Landmark. Groups of 10 or more people should be scheduled in advance and include a per person fee. We welcome group visits from park districts, senior groups, corporate outings and everything in between.

The ticket price includes a guided tour of either the Ellwood Mansion or Ellcourt, and self-guided garden access.

Our event space, the Hearthside Room, can be booked for an additional fee to accommodate group lunches, meetings or presentations.

Groups of 15 people or more should be prepared to divide into smaller groups for historic house tours. Please call 815-756-4609 or email king@ellwoodhouse.org for reservations and more information.

Private tours of the museum buildings can be arranged as schedules allow and are available only during weekdays. These tours are given by the Director of the museum and are limited to groups of eight. A private tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and requires a reservation fee of $500.

During the tour you will have the opportunity to see all museum buildings, including buildings not seen during our regular tours. Please email director@ellwoodhouse.org for availability and to schedule a tour.
